This site has been created to keep you up to date on developments regarding the event and also to let you know how you can get in touch with some of the partners involved in this event. Most are community based groups who are always on the look out for new members and volunteers. This event, site and partnership is living proof that working together great things can happen.

Royal Northumberland Yacht Club

Community group or Sailing Club to promote sailing in the North East of England, whose clubhouse is an LV 50 built for Trinity House in 1879, and is believed to be the oldest floating wooden lightship still afloat in the UK.


Blyth Tall Ship

Blyth Tall Ship is recapturing the spirit of adventure and global entrepreneurship that was employed in Blyth to discover the Antarctic Landmass 200 years ago through a number of projects aimed at training, employability, heritage and tourism.


Blyth Town Council

Blyth Town Council is a community council at the most local level of government. We provide an expanding number of services, events and also a voice for the residents of Blyth delivered with local knowledge and commitment.


Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority

Port Of Blyth

The Port of Blyth is a modern Trust Port located on the east coast of the UK, handling up to 1.5 million tonnes of cargo each year and offering a first class handling, storage and distribution service.


Blyth Community Rowing Club

Blyth Community rowing club was formed to bring rowing back to the river Blyth after an absence of 50 plus years. The group has built it's own St Ayles Skiff and was launched at last years Maritime Festival.


Friends Of Ridley Park (FORP)

FORP is a community group that work with Northumberland County and Blyth Town Council to improve facilities for visitors to Ridley Park in Blyth.


Northumbrian Universities Royal Naval Unit

The aim of the University Royal Naval Unit (URNU) is to broaden Naval understanding and develop undergraduates who show potential to become the leaders of tomorrow, through maritime experience and exposure to the values and ethos of the Royal Navy.


Coquet Yacht Club

Coquet Yacht Club based in Amble is owned by its 400 members and its aim is to run a strong sailing (offshore and dinghy) club that also offers river moorings.

The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult is the UK's flagship technology innovation and research centre for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy.
